Blackwood puts you in the role of Ethan, a traumatized, chain-smoking detective drowning his sorrows in the seemingly mundane town of Abbot’s Hollow in the late 1990s. In this dark, 2D narrative RPG, you’ll uncover a sprawling supernatural conspiracy. The game features a gritty, hand-drawn comic book art style that blends deep dialogue and environmental storytelling with brutal, tactical combat.

You can target enemy limbs for strategic effects, wield melee weapons and forbidden magick, and shape your character with RPG stats. This is a mature (18+) combat-heavy and story-focused experience where the narrative doesn’t serve sex, but sexuality is used to enhance the narrative.
